Our team provided Structural and Building Services Engineering for these 25 storey apartment towers located in Talatona, a new emerging suburb 15km south from Luanda’s CBD.
The project will host 234 apartments per tower, more than 600 parking spaces, and social areas which include two swimming pools, a spa, and huge fiesta saloons.
Our design team was requested to apply its expertise in order to accomplish a cost effective solution. For that effect, unbonded post-tensioned flat plates where adopted in apartments, podium, car parks, and basement levels achieving longer spans which provide more lettable area in apartments, and less concrete mass which is translated in small columns and foundations.
Our MEP team adapted very well to local construction practices requirements, when they faced the challenge of coordinating services conduits which are usually cast in post-tensioning slabs.
Our team is very happy and proud of helping in the Angolan national reconstruction after 30 years of civil unrest.
